One of the most obvious impacts of a sedentary lifestyle is an increased risk og obesity. When we don't move much the calories we consume aren't burned efficiently and end up being stored as fat. Obesity it self is a gateway to various serious diseases including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. 


2. Cardiovascular Diseases


Lack of physical activity is closely linked to an increased risk of heart diseases and stroke. Physical activity helps improve blood circulation and strengthens the heart. Without it fat and cholesterol tend to accumulate in the arteries leading to atherosclerosis which can result in heart attacks or strokes. 


3.  Type 2 Diabetes


A sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. When we are inactive our bodies become less sensitive to insulin the hormone that regulates blood sugar levels. Consequenty, blood sugar levels can rise abnormally potentially developing into type 2 diabetes over time. 


4. High Blood Presure


Regular physical activity helps keep blood pressure within a normal range without it the risk of hypertension or high blood pressure, increases. Hypertension is a condition that can damage blood vessels and organs, including the heart and kidneys.
