INFOPINTAR - Peugeot has taken a revolutionary step by integrating ChatGPT technology into all its car models strarting from July 2024. This initiative places Peugeot at the forefront of automotive innovation introducing artificial intelligence AI that enhances the driving experience and offers a variety of innovative services for drivers and passenggers.
This integration is done through Peugeots renowned i-Cockpit® which can now be activated with the voice command "OK Peugeot" with the vehicle's system in a more intuitive and sophisticated manner. Developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT can answer a wide range of complex questions and follow conversations with users. Additionally, this technology can be used to provide tourist guides organize quizzes for entertainment during journeys and much more.
Peugeot first tested this feature in a pilot phase involving more that 10,000 customers reiving positive feedback that led to the decision to expand this feature to all vehicle models. New models like the New 208, New 2008, New 308 and others are already equipped with this technology and the implementation plan covers 17 markets in Europe with support for 12 differient languages.
This feature is not only available for new vehicle but also for existing Peugeot customers through over the air updates eliminating the need for a dealership visit. ChatGPT will be available as part of the Connect Plus package which is included in the vehicle's price for the first six months and then available via subscription.
The benefit of this integration are diverse for example upon arriving in a nee city users can ask ChatGPT to recommend tourist sports provide historical information about those places and even navigate users to these locations using the car's navigation system. Additionally, for long journey, ChatGPT can organize interesting quizzes for children or offer other entertainment options making the trip more enjoyable and interactive.
