Asus Introduces First ROG NUC, AMini PC with Nvidia RTX

 

Asus has launched its first ROG NUC a compact yet powerful mini PC ideal for gamers tech enthusiasts and content creators, it features Core ultra 9 or 7 CPUs RTX 4070 or 4060 GPUs 16GB DDR5 RAM (upgradable to 64GB) and 512GB PCle Gen4 SSD with extensive connectivity options and AI capabilities it combines performance and versatility in a small form factor - (Photo Source by ASUS) 

Asus has unveiled its first NUC under the ROG brand after acquiring Intel's NUC business. This mini PC is designed to be compact yet powerful making it ideal for gamers, tech enthusiasts and content creators. It offers a choice between Core Ultra 9 and Core Ultra 7 CPUs with the option of RTX 4070 or RTX 4060 GPU's


The standard RAM is 16GB DDR5 which can be upgraded to 65GB (33GB x 2). Storage is handled by a 512GB PCle 2280 Gen4 SSD with three additional M.2 slots available for expansion. 

Connectivity options are extensive including WiFi 6E Bluetooth 5.3 and Intel 2.5G LAN, the mini PC also features an SD Express card reader, multiple USB ports (up to USB 3.2 Gen2) one HDMI port and two DisplayPort 1.4a ports. 


The mini PC is compatible with the ROG Raikiri Pro controller for a console-like gaming experience. It also support Aura Sync RGB for customizing your gaming setup with various ROG accessories. 


Asus highlights not only the gaming performance but also the AI computing capabilities of this mini PC. It is said to be suitable for AI professionals and researchers of large language models (LLMs) thank to the special Tensor Cores in the RTX 40 series GPUs which accelerate machine learning algorithms. However, the stardard 16 GB RAM might need to be increased to enhance AI processing capabilities. 


Given its high specifications, whatabout price? The model with the Core Ultra 7 is priced at USD 1630, while the model with the Core Ultra 9 is priced at USD 2200
