Top Story Astonishing Incident Indian Man Bites Venomous Snake

Santosh Lohar a railway worker in Bihar India was bitten by Venomous snake and retaliated by bitting the snake to death, Following local beliefs he was quickly taken to the hospital and survived. This insident highlights the traditions and snake bite statistics in India. 

 INFOPINTAR - A man in Bihar, India panicked when he was bitten by a venomous snake. He immediately retaliated by bitting the snake to death. According to local beliefs biting the snake back can return the Venom, so the man was rushed to the hospital and survived after receiving medical treatment. 


Santosh Lohar a 35 year old railway worker was working with his team laying tracks in a dense forest area in Rajauli, Bihar. At night, after a days work, Lohar was preparing to sleep when he was suddenly bitten by a snake. Quickly, Lohar grabbed the snake and bit it back twice following the local belief that biting the snake back can save the victim from its Venom. 


Fortunately, Lohar was surrounded by his colleagues who immediately took him to the Rajauli sub division hospital. The Times of India reported that Lohar was treated by Dr. Satish Chandra Sinha. Hehad to stay overnight in the hospital and was allowed to go home the next day. Sinha started that Lohar responded well to the treatment. The type of snake that attacked the railway worked remains unclear. 


In India around 50,000 people die each year from snake bites. Approximately 90℅ of the estimated 3-4 million snake bites annualy are caused by four types of snakes known as the big four common krait , India cobra, Russells viper and saw scaled viper.
