Bugatti has launched its latest hypercar model, the Bugatti Tourbillon succeeding the Bugatii Chiron. The Bugatti Tourbillon is Bugatti's first plug-in hybrid car. It features an NA V16 8.3-liter engine weighing just 252 kg, capable of producing up to 1000 PS with a maximum torque og 900 Nm. Thisengine is connected to a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with an electronic limited slip differential. In addition to a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with an electronic limited slip differential. In addition to the powerful v16 engine, the Bugatti Tourbillion includes three electric motors. One 340 PS/240 Nm electric motor is placed between the V16 engine and the gearbox, while two additional 340 PS motors power the front wheels. This combination delivers a total output of 1800 PS. Its performance is extraodinary, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in under five seconds.
However, its top speed is limited to 380 km/h in most situations. With the speed key, which lowers the rear wing to reduce drag the car can reach up to 445 km/h, slower than the Chiron's 490 km/h. The bugatti Tourbillion uses a 25 kWh battery allowing the car to travel up to 60 km on electric power alone. Despite the PHEV powertrain, Bugatti claims the Tourbillion is lighter than the Chiron. The Tourbillion's body structure uses a new composite made from T800 carbon fiber with some components produced using 3D printing to match its high performance the car is equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, a rear wing airbrake function and a brake-by-wire system. The large discs are hidden behind 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear wrapped in custom Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires. The Tourbillion feutures Bugatti's radical hypercar design with a wide horseshoe grille at the front and large intakes not only directing air to the radiator but also increasing downforce though the front and out the hood. The rear design also stands out with its distinctive tailights and illuminated Bugatti lettering. The large diffuser integrates four slim exhaust pipes. Inside, the Tourbillion boasts Bugatti's signature dual-cockpit design. Like previous models, the cabin is divided by a central line, now reinforced with a central-mounted wiper at the front and an illumination strip at the rear. The Bugatti Tourbillion is now in testing and is set for customer deliveries in 2026. Only 250 units will be produced, priced at 3.8 million euros or approximately Rp 66 billion.
